Questions? We’ve Got Answers

Check out our frequently asked questions below…

What types of classes will be offered at the festival? Is it only yoga?

Great question! Island Tides is a fusion of all things health, wellness and fun. This includes everything from yoga, pilates, and fitness to poetry readings, culinary events, and silent discos.

Will registration close at any point before a class starts?

Event registration is open all the way up until each class starts, so there’s still plenty of time to get in on the action (or, book some more of those classes you’ve been eyeing). Book quick, though! Spots are filling up FAST.

Is there a refund policy?

Refund requests are now closed for the weekend. Our policy allows cancellations up to 72 hours before each class start time. This is important because many of our classes have limited capacity. We appreciate your understanding.

If an event is cancelled on our behalf, you will receive a full refund.

How do I get 50% off my event registration?

Call to book your stay directly at one of our participating hotels and they will give you a booking code. Please be sure to call to book your hotel first to access this code and then apply the code to your order when you’re checking out online.

Is there an early bird rate? When does it end?

The Early Bird Multi-Price Discount expired on May 31, 2024. Book early next year to save or you can still take advantage of 50% off when you stay at a participating accommodation.

Will my event be cancelled in the case of rain?

In most cases, no. There are alternate rain locations listed in each event’s description, unless the event is listed to run ‘rain or shine’. In that case, in the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled and you will be notified via email + refunded.

Follow the Island Tides Facebook and Instagram pages to stay up to date on rain locations and event cancellations.

What else is happening in Charlottetown over the weekend?

Want to fill your time outside of Island Tides? The possibilities in Charlottetown are endless. From larger celebrations such as the PEI Mutual Festival of Small Halls, National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebrations, and the DiverseCity Multicultural Festival to on-stage magic like Anne of Green Gables – The Musical and to evening karaoke and open-air movies, plus everything in between, check out what’s on the go in the city from June 20-23 and beyond at www.discovercharlottetown.com/events.

Are there any age or experience requirements to attend the festival?

Event descriptions will specify any prerequisites but for the most part events are suitable for all ages and levels of experience.

Is there parking available at the festival venue?

The festival takes place at over 15 different venues throughout downtown Charlottetown, some of which will have on-site parking while others will require you to park on the street. Luckily, most venues are within walking distance, so you can park your car and proceed on foot (or bike!). Learn more about our venues & nearby parking under the about button.

What should I bring with me to the festival?

All classes will list what you need to bring but as a rule, you should have a mat, towel and water bottle.

Are there any accessibility accommodations for individuals with disabilities?

Most venues are fully accessible, except for the Charlottetown Yoga Space – it is located on the 3rd floor of a heritage building.

Will there be restrooms and water stations available throughout the festival venue?

All indoor venues have restrooms and water stations. Most outdoor venues do have nearby public restrooms, however, we do recommend planning ahead just in case!

Are there any accommodations nearby for festival attendees?

The entire festival takes place in downtown Charlottetown and there are over 20 hotels and inns within the downtown core. You can also save 50% on your event registration when you book an overnight stay at a participating partner hotel. Please inquire when booking your hotel directly.

Can I purchase food and drinks at the festival?

No, but there are tons of shops and restaurants in the downtown core to choose from!

Will there be vendors selling yoga and wellness products?

A few of the facilitators have books that will be for sale during their events.

Can I bring my own yoga mat and props, or will they be provided?

Please bring your own! They will not be provided.
