Intro to Ashtanga
Intro to Ashtanga is your gateway into exploring the profound practice of Ashtanga yoga. This practice, which combines the breath with movement as well as a drishdi (focal point for the eyes), enables the practitioner to access greater mental clarity and increases physical strength and flexibility. Each Ashtanga yoga series contains the same physical postures.
Albeit challenging, this is your gateway to practice one of the most rewarding styles of yoga. Basic principles will be covered and participants are welcome to modify as needed (modifications provided).
Discover the benefits of this profound practice with Dr. Veronica Kaye, B.Sc, Ph.D., who will use the contemporary language of science to explore what is happening in the body during the postures.
Please bring: A yoga mat & water
